Jake and Gil handled the installation, and they were amazingly prepared and professional. They were able to use my old window and door sensors. Everything went smoothly, and I was truly impressed by how quickly, efficiently, and neatly they completed the job.

UPDATE: I woke up this morning to an email this that my Alarm had been disarmed while I was sleeping. So I ran to my Alarm panel and pulled up the video and it was my face but I looked funny. Apparently, I slept walk last night! I would’ve never known it was me who disarmed my system, and I would’ve put in an emergency service ticket, if it wasn’t for this amazing system from Alamo! Not only did I get confirmation that my alarm system was operating correctly, but now I can inform my doctor that I am at risk of sleepwalking.
And Mario is working with me via text as Im updating this review, to help me find tune a couple things!

Excellent experience with John and Mario at Alamo! They are a top notch company using the latest smart home technology. Mario sat down with me and patiently answered all my questions, and we discussed my plans for future add-ons. Because I was paying cash, he respected that I had a budget, and did not use high pressure sales tactics to try an upsell me. He also gave me a military discount 🇺🇸
John was the technician who installed my system. He worked diligently in the in the disgusting swamp heat to install and connect my cameras. He was very thorough with the installation and explaining everything to me before he left. He got major points for cleaning up and taking all the trash from the boxes with him. He worked nonstop, but my installation took longer than expected, so he stayed an extra hour to finish. I felt so bad for him because it was so hot that day, but he never complained, and he was in good spirits the entire time.
I love my new security system and smart home! The IQ panel is soooo nice, and the alarm.com app makes it so convenient to set your alarm, change the temperature on your thermostat, turn your smart lights on and off and lock your doors from your phone. And there’s so much more it can do!
I’m looking forward to future smart home and security add-ons!

Pat made me feel at ease during the home assessment, and Michael did a great job with my installation. My system has way more functionality than I expected. I love that I can set up different scenarios, like settings for when I am on vacation. It is nice to be able to arm and disarm my alarm from my phone app. Also, the monitoring service is extremely affordable; the equipment financing is great; and there are no long term contracts! I feel like I made the best choice for my own peace of mind!

I really appreciated Gilbert paying attention to where I wanted components placed (even though it required extra effort), and Mike selling me exactly what I needed with no pressure to upsell. In fact, I ended up requesting one additional component during the install, and by paying a discounted up-front price was able to keep my monthly monitoring fees low. After suffering through less than stellar experiences with other vendors, it was refreshing to get a product and an installation on my preferred timing, at a reasonable price, and - thanks to Gilbert - a thorough understanding of the system's features and functionality.
Gilbert seamlessly blended the components from my old system that I wanted to keep with the new components I purchased to create the whole house system I really wanted.
These guys epitomize good old fashioned customer service.

Alamo Smart Home is a local company. When I called for information and a quote, they responded immediately, had a quote within 24 hours and started and completed the work within a week! We had not experienced this level of service in the 27 years we have been in San Antonio.
The service technician, Jake, is phenomenal. He is responsive, pays attention to detail, follows up, and follows through with service requests and/or troubleshooting within minutes of a call.

Couldn't have had a better experience with Danny. He spent a lot of time with us carefully curating our home security options without any pressure to purchase unnecessary items. He's also been readily accessible on a couple of occasions since the installation. For example, the other night he was providing help with a system reboot late at night in advance of us leaving on vacation the next day. The person who installed our system was great as well.

Stay away from this company. They do not honor what they say. I was told by Danny that I was not under contract and at the end of the year my service would be disconnected unless I called to keep there monitoring service. They continued monitoring without my permission than called me to say I owed them money for service. They are way over priced and I wished I never would have conducted business with them

I was so impressed with Chris (Sales) who came to my studio and explained all my options and the pros and cons. I usually need a day to think about anything, but Chris did such a great job explaining things I decided to move forward in setting a system with Alamo Smart Home. This company is great.
We have a great experience with Chris, the vendor, he was on time, customer service oriented and patiently answer all our questions.
Then Jake, the staff that installed the equipment was on time, he identify himself professionally and explained all the process before he started. He worked fast and was a team player, as we have to gain access to each window and move some furniture. He went over the alarm screen features and patiently again, explained it to my husband.
We did a great choice changing from Brinks to Alamo Smart Home.

This was a great experience. Alamo Smart Home is a great business. They have great customer service, they kept me informed on everything that was going on with the installation. My salesman Danny Abbadi was excellent. He gave me a great tutorial about Alamo Smart Home, the type of system that I would be getting, and about all of the equipment that was going to be installed at my home. Great salesman, great person, and definitely someone I would recommend to anyone who is interested in purchasing a new alarm system from Alamo Smart Home. Also, Romeo was great as well. I absolutely love my newly installed Alamo Smart Home security system. I'm so happy I got Alamo Smart home! First of all, the unit itself is really nice. It looks like a mini tablet. So much better in function & in style than the usual ones out there. I love how the app on my phone is so seamless and it does everything I need it to do. I feel safer, I see all perimiters of my house since I had security cameras installed everywhere, had fire alarm installed, a doorbell with camera, glass break alarms, I also had a live indoor camera installed for my living room so I can watch my cat when I'm at work! :D I love it!!! I couldn't recommend the product of Alamo Smart Home enough. It's awesome.

Also, I met such wonderful people from Alamo Smart Home. Jared was the first one I met, he gave me a business card. Then I inquired with Taylor. Mike, the owner of the company came to my house to give me a quotation. He was so lovely to talk to!! Then I also spoke with his admin ladies Marielle & Catherine who were so helpful and so accomodating and just so willing to help me out and willing to be there for any questions. They were wonderful!! Then of course, Tyler & Hunter who came to my house for 2 Saturdays did such an amazing job!! These guys are great in the work that they do! They are so kind and courteous and so knowledgeable about the system. They asked me where I wanted the cameras placed. They made sure I was happy. They really did an amazing job!! I was very happy!!! And to top it all...Hunter even delivered my lil signage to put in my front lawn. He brought it to my office. They are a really great company and have wonderful people and amazing product!!! My system was installed today, upgrading a 14 year old "analog" system monitored by a large, well-known nationwide competitor. I am more than satisfied with my decision to switch and advance into the next century with my fully integrated smart home! The sales team was knowledgeable and detailed during my in-home assessment, no high pressure sales, but left me asking, "Why would I do business with anyone else?" I signed up, and installation happened the same week. The friendly, detail oriented installation team arrived with new top of the line equipment that is so user-friendly to learn. Matt and Tyler spent plenty of time ensuring I was confident with my new system and ensured their ongoing commitment to service my system from their local offices here in town! Meriel, in the office, is so kind and thoughtful as she ensures all the documents and my new alarm certificate are filed appropriately.
